The Young Invincibles, “a new group of 18 to 34 year-olds across the country who are committed to making sure young people are heard in the debate about the future of our country,” are an organization doing just that.

Senator Edward M. Kennedy passed away late last night. We’ve lost a great champion of progressive values in the Senate.

Today, the WYD hosted a BBQ on the Yonkers Waterfront along with Council Presdent Chuck Lesnick and the City Democratic Committee. In attendance were elected officials from the city, county, state, and national level, including State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, County Clerk Tim Idoni, District Attorney Janet DiFiore, County Executive Andy Spano, and Congressman Eliot Engel. Thankfully, Mother Nature waited until the event was over to roll in the thunderstorms and hail.
